Despite the government’s effort to campaign for a safe working environment for Filipina domestic helpers abroad, there are still lots of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) suffering from physical, mental, and sexual abuse at the hands of their foreign employers.
One of them is Mira Luna Lastimosa, a domestic helper based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia who complains about her maniac employer who would often molest and attempted to rape her.

Mira sent a video to her cousin, Ritchel Gican where it could be seen that the male employer is harassing, it could also be seen that the OFW kept refusing but the employer is still persistent trying to hug, kiss, and touch her private parts.
Ritchel said that she could no longer contact Mira but during their last conversation, the latter said that she is afraid for her life after the employer threatened to kill her if she will inform the authorities about what is going on.
It turned out that it was the maniac employer’s 7th attempt to rape Mira that is why she is already pleading for her immediate rescue.
When the program contacted Overseas Workers Welfare Authority (OWWA) Officer Cynthia Erum, they vowed to immediately contact their counterpart in Dammam for Mira’s immediate rescue.
Tulfo suggested that employment agencies should contact their employees from time to time to check their status.
