Bulacan police arrested veteran movie and television actor Julio Diaz also known as Mariano De Leon in real life during a drug buy-bust operation in Meycauayan City, Bulacan on Friday, April 20, 2018.
The 59-year-old actor was nabbed by members of the Meycauayan City Police at Barangay Langka after being caught selling a piece of plastic sachet containing P500 worth of crystal meth or shabu.
Diaz was arrested together with Ronald Gomez alias Robin who sold the shabu to an undercover policeman.

Authorities also seized four more plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 12 grams and P60,000 worth of assorted drug paraphernalia and buy-bust money.
All seized evidence were brought to Bulacan Crime Laboratory Office for examination while criminal complaints against both Diaz and Gomez are being prepared to file in court.
According to Bulacan Police Provincial Office chief Sr. Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., Diaz is one of the high-value targets in their area.

Meanwhile, in an interview, Diaz denied selling illegal drug yet admitted using it.
Diaz is known for his performances in films such as Sakay, Takaw Tukso, and Ma’Rosa, which he was able to complete before his brain surgery last year.
